PREP 1.1: Disciplines

This is the first entry in the AP Research, PREP Journal.

I have decided to choose a mathematics research discipline due to its versatility. Nearly every bit of data and information can benefit from using mathematics, You can find trends in data, come to conclusions, and make predictions via use of a mathematical approach to things. You can make models, You can make graphs, charts, you can manipulate data, you can do many things that are simply not possible with a different approach.

For example, say I am trying to find out how many freshmen like cheese; I could go out and ask every single person their opinion but that would take a long time, But with a mathematical approach I could do a small survey and assume the results of that apply to the rest of the freshmen.
